January 2nd NFL Tournaments
Fanduel is offering three big NFL tournaments this Sunday (January 2nd).

Blitz – $5K, $10 per entry, multiple entries, no cap on total entries.
Bomb – $6K, $25 per entry, multiple entries, cap at 264 total entries
Elite – $3K, $50 per entry, multiple entries, cap at 66 total entries
Good luck to everyone on Sunday!
Two more big leagues this weekend: $2000 Elite NFL League, $1000 NHL Shootout
All right everyone, we have two more big time leagues this weekend at FanDuel. First is the high-roller $2000 NFL Elite League. $100 entry, but it’s a capped league, so only 22 people can play in it. That significantly increases your chance of taking home one of the 3 top prizes. $1000 for first, $600 for second, $400 for third. This league needs at least 18 people playing in it to go live though, so tell your friends.
Next up we have the $1000 Saturday NHL Shootout. This league is only $10 to join, and there are prizes all the way down to 9th place. This league is also capped at 115 entries, so tell your friends that they better hurry to get a seat.
There is a ton of prize money out there this weekend, so good luck to everyone this weekend.
FanDuel’s Fantasy Football Writers League Week 10: Not Quite the End of the Road
We’ve the end of the line for the FanDuel Fantasy Writers League. Well, for most of you. Nathan Zegura, Founder of The Fantasy Consultant, is headed to Vegas in a few weeks to compete in the final for $40,000 after winning a week of the contest flat-out.
Meanwhile, Matt Ufford, author of Warming Glow, founder of With Leather and Kissing Suzy Kolber, will be facing off against Ben Ice, Founder of RotoExperts and Senior writer at Fantasy Sharks, this weekend for an extra $500 and an all expenses paid trip to Vegas. That’s thanks to the fact that both finished 2nd overall in different weeks, making them the highest finishing experts who didn’t win the contest flat out. Since they tied, time to go to the head-to-head tie-breaker.

FanDuel’s Fantasy Football Writers League Week 7 Report: Ben Ice Comes Up Big
Even though pretty much no one selected Darren McFadden or Kenny Britt this weekend (a combined 7 TDs), there were still plenty of other players who put up some monster numbers. And more than a few experts took advantage.
For the first time, two experts finished in the top ten, despite an all-time high of 670 entries in the FFFC this past weekend. Ben Ice, the founder of RotoExperts and senior writer at Fantasy Sharks, came in 2nd, winning $500. Will Brinson of CBS Sports came in 9th, winning $60. FanDuel’s Fantasy Football Writers League Week 6 Report: Jimmy Traina of SI tops a rough week
With half of the NFL getting concussed or brutally injured this weekend, it’s not all that shocking that a lot of people had tough weekends in the FFFC (myself included). So after four straight weeks of experts in the top 10, we’ve finally had a bit of a dip.
Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated’s Hot Clicks had the high mark for the writers league this week, scoring 104.44 points. He was followed by Joe Fortenbaugh of National Football Post and Eric Fisher of Sports Business Journal.

FanDuel’s Fantasy Football Writers League Week 5 Report: Matt Ufford leaves no margin for error
Lot of bizarre things happened this weekend. Pretty much every productive offensive player on the Packers got injured and a number of teams with big time fantasy mainstays played like crap. But none of that mattered.
For the fourth week in a row, someone in the experts league made it into the top 10 of the FanDuel Fantasy Football Championship. This week it was Matt Ufford of Warming Glow and Kissing Suzy Kolber who finished second overall with a score of 155.78. Matt also takes home $500 for his troubles.
This also means there’s now basically no margin for error for the experts in regards to winning a trip to Las Vegas. That said, there’s still five weeks left in the FanDuel Fantasy Football Championship, so we’ll see what happens.
Here’s how everyone placed this week:
2. Matt Ufford – Editor at Uproxx Media, author of Warming Glow, founder of With Leather and Kissing Suzy Kolber (matt_ufford) – 155.78

FanDuel’s Fantasy Football Writers League Week 4 Report: Nathan Zegura is headed to Vegas
Considering the writers league consists of a ton of guys who know their fantasy football cold, it was only a matter of time before someone won a seat in Vegas and a chance at $40,000. And Nathan Zegura of The Fantasy Consultant did that this week.
By the end of the Monday Night Football game, Zegura sat on top of the overall scoreboard with 146.94 points. Zegura will now head to Vegas on the weekend of Dec. 4-5 to compete for $40,000.
As for the rest of the experts, this was a brutal week, which tends to happen when Michael Vick drops to the ground like a shot dog early in the Eagles/Redskins game and Chris Johnson doesn’t do much. Needless to say the results this week would have been a lot different if Vick had actually played.
One special note for the writers, even though Zegura has won a seat in the finals in Vegas, that does not mean that the contest has concluded. The writer who places the highest – without actually winning the FFFC contest overall – still gets a free trip to Vegas and $500. Chet Gresham of Razzball remains the writers league leader, having finished in 8th place during Week 2.
Here are Week 4′s final rankings and point totals for the writers league:
1. Nathan Zegura – Founder of The Fantasy Consultant (tfc_zegura) – 146.94
98. Matt Mullin of Philly.com (philly_sports) – 113.9
